Birth Announcement!

LAUNCH 02.27.11

On Sunday, February 27th, at 10 a.m., New Way Church is officially launching as a New Church congregation in Austin, TX. For the past half year, pastor Mac Frazier and a growing team of people have been meeting in the capital of Texas in preparation for the birth of a new church community centered around following the Lord as He is revealed in the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Heavenly Doctrines of the New Church. And on February 27th, they are opening their (rented) doors and inviting the world in.

The motto of the city of Austin–”Keep Austin Weird”–is a celebration of the distinctiveness, quirkiness and unorthodoxy that are so valued in the culture of a place known as “The Live Music Capital of the World”. This diverse and open-minded setting is comfortable ground for the non-traditional approach to Christianity described by the Writings of Emmanuel Swedenborg.

New Way Church currently meets for worship in a dance studio: Austin Uptown Dance, 8868 Research Blvd, #706, Austin, TX 78758. Worship gatherings are Sundays at 10 a.m. They also get together in various parts of the city, both to build community and also to provide useful services to their neighbors. Congratulations! and may the LORD continue his blessings on the spreading of TRUTH

  2. Brian says:

I wish New Way church the type of success that only the Lord can grant. Not worldly, numeric, financial or celebrity success. The Lord can offer you peace walking on the path He has planned.

I certainly hope that New Way blooms and provides a sustainable and stable place of worship for the people of Austin. But most of all, I hope that all of you can give the work up to the Lord and accept with peacefulness whatever happens, however people in the area respond to your invitation.

    Warm wishes,
    Brian

    • Mac says:

Amen, Brian. I have actually been quite moved by how much peace I have found in just letting go of outcomes and trusting that the Lord will bring spiritual good out of whatever natural circumstances I find myself in.

I’m praying that New Way has a long history on this earth as an authentic community that is led by the Lord. And I am trusting that however things go, good will come of it.

Congratulations Mac! I know this has been your dream for a very long time. Here’s wishing you the very best – may your congregation grow by leaps and bounds.
